1 May 2013 –
Please take time to familiarize yourself with the new corporate policy
which applies to all members, units and member organizations of The Pershing Rifles Group. Each member organization and The PR Group Board of Directors have signed off on this policy and intend to strictly enforce its tenets.
Please help us to eradicate hazing and interference at all levels of our organization. Further policies and clarifications may be forthcoming from the undersigned member organizations in subsequent documents on Hazing, Authorized Advisors and Intake.
Welcome to the New Pershing Rifles Unit Management System (UMS)
1 March 2013 —
We have been working hard to find a way to consolidate and automate the management system for the members in good standing of the National Society of Pershing Rifles, The Pershing Rifles Group, The National Society of BlackJacks, The Pershing Rifles Alumni Association, and all subordinate organizations. In December, we began working with ClubExpress
towards this end and these web pages are the result.
With this new UMS, we can economically host the Association web pages and include pages for each and every portion of the organization. Each unit will be able to enter and update their personnel information on line and tailor their own web site content without having to pay separate fees for domain name registration or web site hosting services. The cost of the system is included in the dues that are collected by the organization. Our goal is to provide a single, secure location for conducting business and sharing information.
Members may log in and download the Guides from their "Member Profile" page. Primary organizational authorities (e.g., Company Commanders, heads of Alumni Member Associations) will need to contact the the CIO of The Pershing Rifles Group
to have you unit's site authorizations configured.
As with any change as radical as this, we expect some growing pains so please feel free to submit any requests for information, suggestions or preferences to via the Chief Information Officer
via email. Note that the public pages of this web site are available to the general public but only members in good standing (i.e., those who have duly registered and are current with their dues payments) will be able to log in to see the detailed content.
Paying Dues in the Unit Management System (UMS)
Some members are having difficulty figuring out how to pay dues within the new UMS. Here's the process for Active Pershing Rifles units:
The architecture of the system requires us to designate a "Primary" member for the Company. All the other members are considered "Secondary." As a default, the Company Commander has been designated as the Primary and is responsible for maintaining the list of active members and the payment of the unit's dues. This can be changed by sending an email to The Pershing Rifles Group CIO with your preference for Primary member.
To pay your dues, the Primary member should be logging in to his/her account on the page that comes up when you go to http://www.pershingriflessociety.org. Once you log in, click on the word "Profile" in the upper right corner of the page. In the profile window that opens, there should be the phrase "Payment Due" in red when your dues are coming up for renewal. Before you click on that, click on "Companies/Additional Members" to see which Company members are in the database. You can then remove any that are no longer active or add new members on that page. Once you've done that, click the "Done" button at the bottom of the page to go back to your Profile.
Now click on the red "Payment Due" phrase to see the amount due for the Company. It will show you the total due for the Company and the list of members you just updated. It should also give you the option to select the payment method. Then click the "Submit Payment" button at the bottom of the page.
If you need assistance, you can contact the ClubExpress support desk at 1-866-HLP-CLUB (457-2582).
