Benjamin McKnight III is a Spring 2015 initiate of the National Society of Pershing Rifles, Company J-8 at Morgan State University. While in school, he served as the Executive Officer of Company J-8 and Assistant Dean of Initiates as a Junior and followed by Company Commander as a Senior.
Prior to attending Morgan, Benjamin enlisted into the United States Army Reserve as a Psychological Operations Specialist in 2012 following his graduation from high school. He arrived at Morgan in the Fall of 2014 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Journalism while simultaneously complete ROTC. In the Spring of 2017, he graduated and commissioned into the Army Reserves.
Today, Benjamin serves as the team lead for the Brand and Vendor Management Committee under the Pershing Rifles Group. He continues to serve in the Army Reserves, writes for the United States Navy as a public affairs contractor and is an avid photographer. Other organizational affiliations for Benjamin include the National Association of Black Journalists, which he has been a member of since 2014.
