Kevin Born has served as the Historian for the National Society of Pershing Rifles and the Pershing Rifles Group since 2011. He pledged Pershing Rifles Company A-2 in 1977, joined the Pershing Rifles National Staff in 1978, serving in various positions. From 1979-80 he was Pershing Rifles National Commander.
He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a BS degree in Education and a minor in History. He was commissioned through the UNL ROTC program and entered the Army in 1981 as an Infantry officer and branch transferred to the Quartermaster Corps in 1986. During his 22 year military career he has served both in the US and overseas in Germany, Bosnia and Haiti. Kevin is currently a Department of the Army Civilian at Fort Lee, VA.
